We build the water treatment plants of the future – with quality in every detail
We build the water treatment plants of the future – with quality in every detail
Clean water is one of our most valuable resources, and at ELIQUO MALMBERG WATER we are proud to be part of the solution. We design, build, install, and commission plants for wastewater, drinking water, and leachate – from large municipal treatment plants to smaller, customized solutions.
Our commitment is flexible. We can deliver complete solutions where we are responsible for the entire process, or take on individual parts such as mechanical installations of treatment equipment, pumps, valves, instruments, and piping. Regardless of the assignment, we always make sure that our work maintains the highest quality.
With our process and technology expertise, we create efficient and sustainable treatment solutions adapted for both today’s and tomorrow’s needs. We are known for our solid craftsmanship, where every installation is carried out with care and precision.
For us, water treatment is not only about technology – it is about delivering reliable, energy-efficient, and sustainable plants that make a real difference. Large or small projects, complete or partial – we make sure the job gets done, and that it gets done right.
Kalmarsund WWTP– an important investment for future water treatment
At Kalmarsund WWTP in Kalmar, an extensive development project is underway, where we act as a turnkey contractor. The facility is a central part of the city’s infrastructure and has a crucial role in ensuring sustainable and efficient wastewater treatment – both today and for future generations. The background to the project is increased demands on treatment, capacity and operational reliability as Kalmar grows. In recent years, we have worked intensively to modernize and expand the facility. The work has included everything from new and reconstruction of process facilities to the installation of advanced technology for improved treatment. We have also focused on creating energy-efficient solutions and robust operation that withstands the challenges of the future. The project has been carried out in close collaboration with the client and other stakeholders, where planning, design and production have gone hand in hand. This has enabled smooth implementation despite the facility’s ongoing operation. The work is now continuing with the completion of several important parts, testing and optimization of the systems before the facility is put into full operation. The result will be a modern Kalmarsund waste water treatment plant equipped for the future – and a project we are proud to contribute to.
That is why collaboration is the right path for complex projects
Building a water treatment plant is not a standard project. It is a complex process where technology, sustainability, and long-term functionality must interact – while keeping budget and schedule. When many different competences must contribute and solutions need to be adapted to reality, collaboration is the smartest way forward.
By working in a collaborative project (partnering), we involve all key stakeholders early – clients, contractors, technical experts, and operations staff. This allows us to identify challenges before they become problems, test ideas, and find solutions together. In a traditional procurement model, important insights can arrive too late, which leads to costly changes. With collaboration, instead we get a flexible and efficient process where we can adapt to real needs.
For us, it is not about “just building a plant” – we want to create something that works optimally for many years to come. By working together from the start, we achieve a better, more thoughtful, and sustainable solution. Everyone benefits from that in the long run.
